So...it has begun. The beginning of the end. Sorry, movie reference slipped in there. No, Christmas has begun. Well, Jesus is with us all year but the season of Christmas has begun. We have opened presents with Nana and Grandpa Bray, Papa and Grandma Arthur, Great Granny P, Gigi and Bop, and Heather and Mike. Tomorrow we continue the fun. Actually, tomorrow is a special day b/c one year ago, I found out I was expecting a baby. It gives me a different perspective of how Mary must have felt, although she didn't have an epidural. The most amazing thing is that God gave his son away for free. I cannot imagine, especially having waited for and gone through a whole mess to get James, giving him away. I guess that shows that God loves us a whole lot. Anyhoo, on a medical update, James is doing ok. We are still doing inhaler puffs twice a day. We are off of the yucky, expensive formula. He keeps gaining weight. (try a pound a week!) I guess that is it for now. I have many more pictures to post and will gain more every day this week. Be patient, as I cannot add them all. Don't get your feeling hurt if your pic isn't up yet. My computer is slower at uploading.

not much to say
Update: James is getting better and he sounds better. The barium swallow didn't show anything conclusive. So, with the combo of the two, we are just going to continue doing what we are doing and be seen in 4 months. I am not very happy with this path but I am the only one not happy with it. Everyone else seems to think that he is definately on the upswing. I guess I just wanted to know exactly what was going on and if it will come back. The good from all of this is that we can switch back to soy formula. No more super duper expensive formula for us! That is really good news. That is it for us. Call me if you want more details, although there really aren't a whole lot to give. Peace out.

Talk to me boy...

The good news...Dr. DiSessa (cardiologist) thinks that James' heart murmur has closed already. The better news...the dr's office gave us 7 free cans of the special formula. That is a $182 savings for us. Yee Haw! The not so good news...James still sounds horrible and wheezes all of the time and we can't get seen at uk hospital for the barium swallow test until the 13th. Oh well. On the 17th James goes in for his 4 mo well-baby checkup. He will get more shots. Yuck! Adam is taking him to that appointment as I am still teaching until Wed of that week. Adam has completed his student teaching and is getting ready to turn in his class portfolio and then complete his Graduate portfolio. I am hoping that for his sake they are very similar and he can just copy. I had to stop by goodwill today to find a shirt to wear under one of Adam's blazers for school next week. The 8th grade is having the constitutional convention and we are dressing up. I had most pieces of an outfit but needed a blouse of some sort to complete my ensemble. Anyhoo, that is it for us. If you were here James would be telling you all sorts of things as he has begun vocalizing constantly. Don't worry, you'll get to hear him soon. Peace out.
