workin' the for weekend!

Well, we started finger foods. Last night we began our journey into self-feeding with zwiebeck toast. James took about 1 minute to figure out what to do with the toast but from there he was all over it. The only problem he ran into was when the piece of toast was small enough to fit completely in his hand, he didn't know how to get it into his mouth. So, he spent some time just gumming his hand. Overall, though, he really enjoyed the first attempt at finger goods. Still no teeth!

Well, Eli thinks his hand is as good as a pacifier sometimes, so I guess it will do for finger foods, too! Did you ever think you would be so excited about toast? I'm so excited about veggies I don't even like!

Hey. I followed your link off Jenny's blog. Erica and I were talking the other day about how once you have children, you reconnect with people who also have children- and I love to look at pictures. Usually we would be at church, but we are sitting at home with our recovering patient, so I had a moment to surf the internet. Starting real food is so fun. I love trying to figure out what we can try next. Being able to eat on their own really extends the amount of time that babies can stay happy sitting at the table.
